Bee is a Homo Superior, otherwise known as a mutant. Mutants are human in origin, but are born with the X-Gene in their DNA. It is unknown (or, more accurately, unproven) whether the X-Gene is passed down through the mother or father. Some mutants exhibit their mutations/abilities at birth, while others - like Bee - manifest theirs during puberty. Bee's particular mutant gene has manifested itself in her ability to use and control various magics.

astral projection also called astral travel, is a paranormal interpretation of an out-of-body experience achieved either awake or via lucid dreaming or deep meditation. The concept of astral projection assumes the existence of another body, separate from the physical body and capable of traveling to non-physical planes of existence. Commonly such planes are called astral, etheric, or spiritual. Astral projection is often experienced as the spirit or astral body leaving the physical body to travel in the spirit world or astral plane.

demon summoning is the power to summon demons or demonic beings. Bee can summon demons/demonic beings from other worlds for a variety of reasons such as helping in combat or in granting power to increase her own capabilities. Currently, Bee has a very poor grasp on how to properly summon demons and this is usually done by accident.

elemental manipulation is the ability to conjure, create and/or control the elemental forces of the Earth. Currently, Bee has only displayed pyrokinesis (also called fire manipulation, or the ability to manipulate heat and fire), presumably due to her ties to more hell-centered magics.

energy manipulation is the ability to shape, create, and manipulate energy. Energy can be transformed (converted) among a number of forms that may each manifest and be measurable in differing ways. For instance, she could use it to manipulate the energy that enemies are wielding, causing them to destroy each other by redirecting the energy and exploding themselves. There are limitations - for instance, the further away she is, the less control she has.

levitation is the ability to make oneself (or other subjects/objects) to hover in the air completely unassisted. Although levitation can go hand in hand with flight, Bee has exhibited no signs of being able to turn levitation into flight.

mental possession is the ability to inhabit the mind and body of another human being. Theoretically, Bee can possess (or take over) the body of another living being, whether sentient or not, by stealing their motor functions and senses. She has only tried this twice and does not enjoy it.

metamorphing also called shapeshifting, is the ability to transform and reshape one's body. Bee can impersonate others or enhance her own body for combat, either by turning into animals, humanoids, monsters, etc. or by making the body stronger. However, Bee also does not enjoy this and has expressed little interest in developing the skill much further than her current ability to occasionally change her eye color or nose shape.

mind control is the ability to control the minds of others. Bee typically chooses to use this for petty reasons that assist her in some way, such as making her boyfriend think he is no longer mad at her or getting a Starbucks barista to add in a few extra espresso shots for free into her drinks.

mystical sense is the ability to sense/detect other mystical and magical presences. Although Bee is very skilled at this (she calls it her "sixth sense"), the ability gets less precise the further away from mystical and magical presences she is. Though she can detect them from great distances, she cannot accurately pinpoint who or what they might be coming from.

necromancy is the ability to utilize magic involving the dead, death-force and/or souls, including resurrecting the dead and using the forces for both good and evil purposes. Bee can also communicate with the deceased by summoning their spirits. While the ability to communicate with them for divination (predicting future events) purposes is there, she has not explored that part of necromancy and typically communicates with the dead purely to discover details and knowledge.

psionic shields are magical shields that Bee can put up to protect telepaths from reading her thoughts or sensing her presence psionically.

scrying is the practice of looking into a suitable medium in the hope of detecting significant messages or visions. These mediums can be crystal balls, tarot cards, or mirrors and messages can range from future events to a person or object's location.

spellcraft is a broad term that covers a variety of spells learned through both spell books and general tutoring. These include such simple spells as house cleaning and turning lights on and off, to more complex such as summoning a defensive shield or stopping someone in their tracks.

stepping discs / teleportation Bee can mentally control "stepping discs" that allow both herself and others to teleport through both space (across cities, continents, and even to other planets) and time (forwards or backwards through moments, days, or even centuries). Traveling through time is very physically draining for her and she must regain her strength before she can attempt to teleport again. However, this is one of her most poorly developed ability and she still has some difficulty differentiating between space and time and will therefore mix the two. It's also much more difficult for her to travel over great distances or through a great breadth of time and the further she goes, the less control she has. Additionally, it is considerably more draining for her to bring someone along with her as opposed to teleporting on her own.

hand-to-hand combat Thanks to training both at various schools and simply through her own curiosity and interest, Bee is quite skilled at hand-to-hand combat. She practices Krav Maga, jiu-jitsu, aikido, and is an avid boxer.

multilingualism Due to her telepathic skills, Bee has the capability to learn any language through telepathic programming. She rarely chooses to utilize this, however, as she prefers the sense of accomplishment of learning a language on her own.

telepathy is the ability to mentally receive and/or transmit information. Bee can read or sense another person's thoughts, communicate with them mentally or affect their minds and thoughts.

soulsword When Bee was younger, she magically caused her own life force energy to manifest before her during a fight with someone close to her - she thrust her hand into the eldritch energy in front of her and from inside, drew out the Soulsword. Though it was nothing more than a simple looking blade at first, the more she used the sword, the more intricate the designs on it became. It is both usable as a physical weapon and as a tool to disrupt magical spells and beings (such as countering or breaking spells, augmenting magic, etc.), but typically more the latter than the former and is rarely capable of intensely harming non-magical persons or items (they will simply be rendered unconscious, incapacitated, paralyzed, etc.). Though others would be able to wield it, the weapon's full power is only accessible to her.

mystical eldritch armor The more that Bee uses her power in conjunction with the Soulsword, the more mystical armor that appears on her body (in addition to demonic features such as horns and hooves). The armor helps to deflect or limit attacks, both physical and magical, and can even provide protection against viruses. It also provides Bee with super-strength that is not accessible when she is not wearing the armor. The armor appears to protect anyone who wields the Soulsword.

Carvalho's Academy for Exceptionally Talented Students is a co-ed school in Lisbon, Portugal meant to train mutants, aliens, and gifted humans. Carvalho's is known for a laidback approach to teaching that focuses more on getting to know the students and how best to teach them than churning out results. The professors are notoriously friendly and welcoming and students rarely have anything poor to say about the academy once they've left it. Classes are conducted primarily in Spanish but English is frequently spoken amongst the students. The current headmistress is Isidora Simões.

Verhoeven Institute for Mutant Education and Outreach is a co-ed school in Leuven, Belgium meant to train mutants, aliens, and gifted humans. Verhoeven is primarily dedicated to a platform of understanding and activism, and was at the forefront of attempts to ensure non-mutants accepted those who were not like them. They are known for primarily teaching courses that are more defensive than offensive, as much of the facutly are pacifists and do not believe in the idea of superhero teams or vigilantes. Classes are conducted in a variety of Dutch, French, German, and English. The current headmaster is Roeland Van Bueren.

Vayssière's Académie pour les Étudiants Doués is a co-ed school in Bordeaux, France meant to train mutants, aliens, and gifted humans. Vayssière's claims to be the oldest mutant academy in the world, though the year it was established varies heavily, with some saying it's been around since the 1700s and others insisting it only came to be closer to the 50s. It is very selective and takes the smallest number of students when compared to other institutions. Classes are conducted entirely in French. The current headmaster is Nathanaël Perrin.

The Hunziker School of Mystical Learning is a co-ed school in Lucerne, Switzerland meant to train mutants, aliens, and gifted humans. Established in the late 60s by an exceptionally gifted necromancer (Reimund Hunziker), Hunziker is one of the more specialized institutes, focused only on those who possess magical capabilities. They are particularly renowned for their alumni who excel in healing. Classes are usually conducted in French, but some professors prefer languages such as Italian and German. The current headmistress is Sybille Herzog.

The Markides Institute of Learning for Remarkable Youngsters is a co-ed school in Athens, Greece meant to train mutants, aliens, and gifted humans. Markides' is known amongst other institutes as probably the most "free spirited" of the group, with lax policies and coming across as more of a place where students can simply study whatever tickles their fancy as opposed to honing specific skillsets. Classes are conducted in a mixture of Greek and English. The current headmistress is Dimitra Iordanou.
